Tempered Glass

Tempered glass is safety glass, which is divided into small and unsharpened pieces when it gets hit.

Tempering process is to bring the glass’s temperature between 600-650° Cwith special heating systems and to cool them suddenly with air.As a result of the tempering process, compression tension is provided on the outer surfaces of the glass and an indirect tensile stress is provided on the middle of the glass.Glass becomes 5 times more resistant to tensile and impact than tempered glass. It also reduces the risk of injury by breaking into dice size when broken.

Tempered glasses are produced in accordance with the standard of thermally tempered soda lime silicate Safety Glass used in TS EN 12150 glass structures.
